From One Man Operation to World Leader

In the late 1920s, electricity available in rural Wisconsin was not always dependable, but it was becoming more common in the area.  Niels Miller developed the first welder that could harness this power source to provide for the welding needs of his neighbors.  The machine was less expensive and lighter than the rotary welders of the day were and soon became popular.  Sixteen years later, Mr. Miller incorporated his company and the first high frequency AC stabilized welder was invented and introduced by the company.  These welders lead the way to AC welders being used in industrial settings.  Today, Miller electric is the leader in providing welders, equipment and supplies in the United States.

Miller Welders Offer a Large Variety of Machines

Today Miller provides MIG, TIG and Stick welders.  In addition, they offer engine driven welders that may be used in on location or trailer mounted for transportation to where they are needed.  Miller has a wide range of welding equipment as well as supplies such as welding rods, helmets and gloves.  They offer machines that are designed for use with single-phase electricity as well as triple phase machines.  They also offer welders that allow the operator to choose between single and triple phase power.  Miller offers welders may be used for welding steel as well as stainless steel or aluminum.
